Sao Paulo Gastro Tour - Local Market
We were invited to Gabi's mother's house to eat authentic Mineiro food, all made by his mother's cook. We gladly accepted, but offered to get the goods at the neighbourhood's food market, not too far from Gabi's mother's house.
The market is open air, not too big, but had some decent greens and fruits selection. Fish stalls had a sizeable amount of fish, which looked a bit iffy since they refrigerate using (very little) ice, and the temperature was in the 30's C. While the fish seemed fresh, the menu didn't call for it, and clearly I wouldn't let it sit long before consuming, so we didn't get any. The meat didn't look good either.
